An Easter Bloom

While it isn't a lily, this bloom was picked by a father on Easter Sunday to share with his daughter (my maternal grandmother) - 82 years ago. It has surely seen better days, but how many blooms get to be preserved for 82 years?

(scanned, it has been placed back inside the envelope, where it will be preserved even longer.)

  1. That's a lovely reminder of your mother and grandfather, John. What a wonderful find!
