As part of my Amanuensis project, I've transcribed several letters from Melvin to his daughter (my grandmother) Myrtle, as well as his testimony in front of The Dawes Commission.To the left is a photo taken in 1900 with his wife, Margaret (Denyer) Van Every, and my grandmother.

It is good to see that our ancestors are staying alive through our work. This is definitely a noble cause.
